Products Description
What is Ceramide?
Ceramide is a kind of amide compound formed by dehydration of long-chain fatty acid and amino group of sphingosine. It mainly includes ceramide phosphorylcholine and ceramide phosphoethanolamine. Phospholipid is the main component of cell membrane. % of sebum is composed of ceramides, which are a major part of the intercellular matrix and play an important role in maintaining the moisture balance of the stratum corneum. Ceramide has a strong ability to associate water molecules, and it maintains skin moisture by forming a network structure in the stratum corneum. Therefore, ceramides have the effect of maintaining skin moisture.

Ceramide exists in all eukaryotic cells and plays an important role in regulating cell differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis, aging and other life activities. Ceramide, as the main component of intercellular lipids in the stratum corneum of the skin, not only acts as a second messenger molecule in the sphingomyelin pathway, but also plays an important role in the formation of the stratum corneum of the epidermis, and has the functions of maintaining the skin barrier, moisturizing, anti-aging, whitening and disease treatment etc.

Products Effects
Main effects of Ceramides
● Barrier Effect
Experimental studies have shown that ceramides play an important role in maintaining the skin barrier function.
● Adhesion
Experimental studies have shown that the level of ceramide is directly related to the dryness of the skin. The use of ceramide can significantly enhance the adhesion between keratinocytes, improve skin dryness, and reduce skin desquamation.
● Moisturizing Effect
Ceramide has a strong ability to associate water molecules, and it maintains skin moisture by forming a network structure in the stratum corneum. Therefore, ceramide has the function of maintaining skin moisture.

● Anti-aging Effect
Ceramides can improve skin dryness, desquamation, and roughness; at the same time, ceramides can increase the thickness of the epidermal stratum corneum, improve skin water holding capacity, reduce wrinkles, enhance skin elasticity, and delay skin aging.
● Cell Function
Experimental studies have shown that ceramide can regulate cell growth variation, induce cell apoptosis and other cellular functions.
Products Application
The main application of ceramide
● Daily Chemicals
The use of activating essence cosmetics containing neurophthalamide can strengthen the anti-aging function of the skin, keep the skin elastic, smooth and delicate, and reduce the formation of facial wrinkles.
● Medical Aspects
Ceramide plays an important messenger role in inducing biological effects of various cytokines, vitamin D3, Fas, and CD28 ligand, and its role in mediating cell apoptosis has attracted increasing attention; at the same time, ceramide is also involved in various physiological and pathological processes such as cell differentiation process. During the culture of epidermal keratinocytes, ceramide can induce apoptosis. Ceramide is a breakdown product of sphingomyelin in the bilayer of biomembrane, and it is a recognized second messenger; and it plays an extensive and important role in the process of cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and injury.
● Food Industry
Many health foods have been developed using some physiological functions of ceramide, such functions as inhibiting blood pressure rise, activating immunity, hindering lipase activity, and inhibiting cancer cell proliferation, etc. Plant-based ceramide products were also officially commercialized and launched to the market in 1998. So far, its products are mainly functional drinks, tablets and other nutritional supplements and health food, and there are not many products that are actually effective.
