What is Sucralose?
Sucralose is a common artificial food sweetener that contains no nutritional content of its own. It is about 600 times sweeter than table sugar, and most of it is not absorbed by the body. Sucralose is a trichlorinated sucrose molecule, which is a chemically altered form of sucrose (table sugar). What Happens After Consuming Sucralose?
1. After eating sucralose, most of it will not be absorbed by the body, but will be excreted through the digestive system together with excrement. Because sucralose is poorly absorbed by the digestive tract, only 5% to 20% of sucralose actually enters the bloodstream. The remainder is excreted in urine and does not remain in tissues. Therefore, sucralose actually only exists in the body for a short time after you consume it.
