Poria Cocos Extract
Poria Cocos (scientific name: Wolfiporia cocos (F.A. Wolf) Ryvarden & Gilb.) is a fungus, and Poria is a traditional Chinese medicine. Poria is sweet, light, neutral in nature and non-toxic. It enters the four meridians of the heart, spleen, lung, and kidney, and has the functions of infiltrating dampness and diuresis, anti-tumor, anti-radiation, treatment of rheumatism, edema, lung cancer, gastric cancer, etc.
Poria Cocos polysaccharide is extracted from the sclerotia of Poria cocos fungus. It has anti-tumor effect. According to clinical research, it has certain curative effect on nasopharyngeal carcinoma and gastric cancer. Its anti-tumor mechanism is: Poria polysaccharide activates local neoforms, so that the activated neoforms in the vicinity of the tumor affect macrophages, lymphocytes or other cells and humoral factors, thereby synergistically killing tumor cells. Poria polysaccharides can also activate the immune monitoring system against tumors.
