Products principle
1.ROS
In a biological context, ROS are formed as natural byproducts of the normal metabolism of oxygen and have important roles in cell signaling and homeostasis. The latest findings suggest that optimal cellular health comes from a balance between ROS formation and removal, rather than efforts to eliminate ROS.

There are two sources of ROS that can affect cells: endogenous and exogenous. Endogenous ROS are normal, natural byproducts of mitochondrial oxygen metabolism. Exogenous ROS come from environmental sources such as smoking, pollution, UV light and alcohol consumption.
2.Oxidative stress
ROS levels increase dramatically during environmental stress (e.g., UV or heat exposure). This can cause serious damage to cellular structures, which is known as oxidative stress. Excessive oxidative stress often leads to disruption of the normal function of cells. However, some oxidative stress is important to the normal function of the body, so completely blocking oxidative stress is not feasible.
3.ISOLGS
Damage occurs when ROS react with lipids and produce a highly reactive molecule called IsoLG. IsoLGs are one of the common downstream products of oxidative stress.

The role of 2-HOBA
